Hi, I'm Kaeli.
Right now, I am preparing to serve a mission for my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
But what I've realized while preparing is that although I want to go dedicate my life to teaching this Gospel for 18 months, that's not where this part of my journey ends, or begins. I am a missionary because I love this Gospel, and I want everyone to at least have the chance to have the happiness that I do!
I love my family and I love the gospel. I love missionary work and
missionaries and anything about spreading the gospel, all that stuff
makes me feel super happy and excited. That's why I want to share it
too, because I want EVERYONE to be as happy as possible, and I know that
the Gospel is the one thing that can put everything else in life in its
proper place and make us all our very happiest.
I believe
that smiling is super important. And I think that everyone should smile
more, really, it would make the whole world a happier place! I love my
friends, and I love to help people. I want everyone to be happy, but if
people try to take advantage of that, I'm not going to stand for it.
I'm an English Major at SUU. I think, maybe my dad influenced that. I've loved reading and writing for as long as I can remember, so I think it would have been my major anyway, but my dad was a Literature Major, and he's the smartest man I know. And I wanted to be just like him. However, when it came to choosing between Literature and Writing as my emphasis, I couldn't make the decision, but I knew that I wanted to teach one day too. So SUU came out with a composite major in Secondary Education and Creative Writing, and suddenly there was an excellent solution. I've definitely enjoyed the writing track, but as I started in to my survey courses, I realized I really love literature too. I knew I loved reading, but I didn't know I could love studying so much! I encourage everyone to get an education, there's the greatest satisfaction in learning!
I'm not addicted to anything... except maybe music. I know, I know, all things in moderation right? But I am convinced I can't live without music. I play piano, guitar, flute and a little bit of ukulele. And I love it all. I sing. In the shower. Oh, and at open mic nights, and talent shows! Music really is a HUGE part of my life.
I like camping, archery, fishing, rock climbing, rappelling, reading, writing, occasionally scrap-booking. I love Disney movies and "The Bourne" movies.
I have had two open-heart surgeries and I love Primary Children's Medical Center.
I love my friends, and my family. People are very important to me. There are so many wonderful people who have had a great influence on my life. And I love and appreciate you all, very, very much!
So, that's kind of a brief introduction to me. Don't worry, I'm usually not capable of being brief, so you'll be learning a lot about me as I post :) Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you stick around, and join us in our journey, whatever part in it you may play!
